A condolence meeting was held at the University of Kashmir here on Tuesday in memory of Prof S M Rashid, former pro-vice chancellor and retd professor of Geography at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Rashid passed away on 8th of September, 2018.
Speakers said that Prof Rashid was a brilliant teacher, an able administrator, and a wonderful human being who had carved a niche for himself in the academic fraternity both at national and international level.
The meeting was chaired by Dr Parvez Ahmad (Deptt of Geography University of Kashmir) Jamia Millia Islamia Alumni Association JK Chapter.
