Prof Talat kick-starts plantation drive at Kashmir University

SA plantation drive was kicked off by Vice Chancellor University of Kashmir Prof Talat Ahmad at varsity’s Model High School here on Wednesday.

The drive was organized by Kashmir University MinisterialStaff Association (KUMSA) under the banner ‘Go Green Plantation Drive’.

   

The VC underscored the importance of plantation and urgedpeople to come forward voluntarily to plant trees and help expand “green cover”of the campus.

The drive was precededby an interaction between the VC and the teachers of the school. “We will makesure that the school is kept on priority and the students get bestinfrastructure,” Prof Talat said.

The faculty appreciatedthe efforts of VC for his keen interest in upgrading the school.

Meanwhile, a cleanlinessdrive was started in the Law school premises of the University.

Dean and Head Departmentof Law Prof Muhammad Hussain kick started the drive. Prof Hussain expressed his joy over the large participationof the students and faculty members in the drive.

Meanwhile a week- longcleanliness drive pledged by boarders of Gani Kashmiri Research Scholars Innconcluded.
