Progress of digital India land records modernisation programme reviewed

Financial Commissioner (FC), Revenue, Dr Pawan Kotwal today chaired a meeting of officers to review progress in implementation of ‘digital India land records modernization programme’ (DILRMP) in the state.

The meeting was attended by Commissioner, Survey and Land Record, all Deputy Commissioners of Kashmir division, Regional Director S&LR Srinagar, Anantnag and Baramulla, all additional deputy Commissioners of Kashmir Division, Consultant DILRMP and representatives of M/S RAMTECH Software Solutions Pvt Ltd.

   

The Financial Commissioner who is also the Chief Executive Officer, J&K Land Records Modernization Programme (JKLRMP), directed all the stakeholders to speed up the process of the work so that the same is completed within the given time, an official handout said.

He also directed the officers to engage more skilled manpower to ensure that the records digitized are accurate and the work is completed by June 2019.

Dr Kotwal on the occasion said that the digitization and updating of land revenue records is an important project which is aimed at preserving the data and help people to access revenue records at their fingertips.

He added that after the digitization process is over, a fresh survey will be conducted to renew changes.

The Financial Commissioner Revenue impressed upon concerned officials that quality check should be at least 50 percent of the scanned part.

The meeting also discussed preparations regarding disaster management in the state and Dr Kotwal directed the officials to do it in a planned manner, make assessment of vital things and seek approval from DMA to build stock at the safe and accessible places.

The Water body Census was also discussed in the meeting.
