Secretary Rural Development Department and Panchayat Raj, Sheetal Nanda, Wednesday convened a meeting to review progress of various ongoing projects in Kashmir division.
The meeting took comprehensive stock of various schemes ofthe department in the state including MGNREGA, Geo-tagging, job cards, etc.
The Secretary RDD directed fast pacing the implementation ofvarious departmental schemes so that the socio-economic landscape of the ruralareas gets the requisite fillip, an official handout said.
While reviewing other schemes of the Department, Nandaexhorted upon the officers to adhere strictly to set guidelines.
Secretary was also briefed about the physical and financialachievements registered by the department.
The meeting was attended by Director Rural DevelopmentKashmir, Qazi Sarwar, Director Panchayati Raj Muhammad Nazir Ahmad Sheikh,Additional District Development Commissioners of various districts, AdditionalSecretary/ Member Secretary MGNREGA Rakesh Kumar Badyal and AdditionalSecretary, Sudharshan Kumar and ACDs of Kashmir Division.
