People United Front (PUF) on Friday staged a sit-in here against highway ban and abandoning rail services between Banihal and Kashmir from 10am to 3 pm.
Talking to reportersEr Rasheed denounced the ban and called it gross violation of fundamentalrights of people of Kashmir. “Who doesn’t know that more than security agenciesKashmiris make yatra a success. Not only common man but students, patients,government employees and business traders are suffering as entire Kashmir feelscaged and jailed,” said, Er Rasheed.
He criticized NC leadership and said that people have aright to know what NC is doing over the issue. He said, “NC is crying aboutjust votes and elections. If party claims to be representing regionalaspirations, it must join hands with other forces to fight the statesuppression. However despite having three MPs in Lok Sabha the party seems tohave compromised everything.”
