Family of incarcerated PDP leader Abdul Qayoom Wani has demanded his release, saying his elder brother was critically ill.
In an appeal to the government, a family member said Wani’s elder brother, Gulzar Ahmed Wani, has been diagnosed with a severe ailment and shifted to Mumbai for advanced treatment.
“He requires immediate attention and assistance of hisyounger brother, who is under detention since August 4 at Central Jail,” said afamily member. “We need him (Qayoom) to help his elder brother at Tata CancerInstitute in Mumbai. We urge the government to release him immediately as hisbrother requires his help at this critical stage.”
