Qirat, naat competitions held at Madre Meherban orphanage

Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar on Thursday chaired one day Qirat and Naat Competition organized at Madre Meherban orphanage, Bemina.

Sagar while felicitating the students and organizers said, “The need of the hour is to inculcate the new generation with morals and values and the pious thoughts. Auspicious gatherings like these will help our new generation to keep in touch with the traditions of Islam and its value system,” he said.

   

Meanwhile Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani applauded the Madre Meharban orphanage for organizing the event. The event saw the active participation of students and scholars. 

The first position holders in both Qirat and Naat category were given RS 7000, RS 4000 as second prize, RS 3000 as third prize. Besides that consolation prize of RS 1000 was given to each of 10 participants. Certificate of participation were also given to all those who participated in the event.
