Apni Party General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir Sunday demanded regularisation of services of daily wagers, daily-rated workers and other categories of appointees working in different government departments.
A statement of Apni Party issued here said that Mir while welcoming scores of political activists from Khayar, Aishmuqam area of south Kashmir into the party fold said the government’s idea of development and progress was seen nowhere on the ground.
“Daily wagers are in despair as their economic conditions have worsened due to the government’s indifferent attitude,” Mir said. “Amid growing uncertainty due to lack of a viable policy, government’s hollow claims of development and progress only add to the sufferings of the people of J&K.”
