President of Awami Ithad Party Er Rasheed,Peoples Democratic Party leader Engineer Nazir Ahmed Itoo and president of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Alliance Bhat Muzaffar visited the family of late Afzal Guru at Seer Jageer in Sopore on Saturday.
Rasheed said that while Congress celebrated Afzal Guru’s hanging just to strengthen their vote bank in India, AIP made them to confess the guilt that Afzal Guru did not get justice when their MLAs were made to issue a statement seeking apology over the hanging.
“Kashmiris as a nation should answer the valuable questions raised by Afzal Guru’s family from time to time including the failure of sincere voices to engage a competent lawyer to fight Afzal Guru’s case in Supreme Court,” he said in a statement.
PDP leader Nazir Ahmed Itoo visited the family on the directions of party president Mehbooba Mufti.
“PDP delegation led by Nazir Ahmed Itoo visited Sopore and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family. He while praying for the departed soul appealed Government of India to return the mortal remains of Guru on humanitarian grounds,” said a statement.
President of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Alliance Bhat Muzaffar along with the party leaders visited the house of late Afzal Guru and demanded Afzal’s body should be returned to the family.
