National Conference Vice-President, Omar Abdullah, Wednesday urged the government to redress the issues of the people of Beerwah constituency.
Abdullah, during an interaction with District Development Commissioner, Budgam, SehrishAsgar, raised a range of issues concerning Beerwah constituency.
The NC Vice-President informed the DDC about the nonexistence of proper electricity schedule in the constituency. “The student community is at the receiving end due to erratic power supply in the area,” he said.
He also raised the issue of dilapidated roads in the constituency and asked the DDC to augment the pace of road repairs. “The pace of works on outstanding road projects in the area, including Khag-Ari Panth and Beerwah-Magam-Budgam road linkages should be increased,” he urged.
Besides other issues, Abdullah also took up the nonexistence of proper medical facilities and staff in the area. Prof Abdul MajeedMatoo, TanvirSadiq and Dr Muhammad Shafi accompanied Abdullah during the meet.
