Communist Party of India (M) senior leader M Y Tarigami today expressed concern over, what he said, the deepening uncertainty in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement here, Tarigami emphasized on the need toreview the situation afresh at decision making level so that a comprehensivepolicy is framed to address the causes of this ongoing unrest.
“Releasing prisoners ahead of Eid festival could be agoodwill gesture by the government and can be a good confidence buildingmeasure. Some of the prisoners languishing in different jails within andoutside the state are reportedly not feeling well and it is appropriate time toconsider their release,” Tarigami added.
