Several Hussaini Majlises were organised in connection with Majlis Asad across Kashmir on Friday.
The congregations were organized by Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association, Jammu and Kashmir Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen and Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Shar-e-Shiaan, among others.
At imambara, Zadibal, JK Shia Association, led by Molvi Imran Raza Ansari, organized a congregation. It started with the recitation of Holy Quran, followed by sermons. Thousands of people participated in the congregation and paid tributes to the martyrs of Karbala.
Later, a procession was taken out from Alamgari Bazar, which was passed through Gasiyar Chowk and culminated at Imambara, Zadibal.
A daylong congregation was also organized by Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen at Gund Khawaja Qasim, Pattan. Prominent Zakirs, including Aga Syed Hassan Garend, Muhammad Shafi, Maqsool Ali and Haji Ghulam Hassan participated in it. Moulana Abass Ansari delivered a sermon on the occasion and spoke about the importance of Ashoora and Karbala martyrs.
Similar congregations were held in other parts of the Valley.
