Renowned broadcaster Bharti passes away

Renowned Kashmiri broadcaster, playwright and short story writer Hirdey Kaul Bharti passed away on Tuesday.

Leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha and former Chief Minister of erstwhile J&K State Ghulam Nabi Azad has expressed grief on his demise.

   

In his condolence message, Azad has said that Bharti was a house hold name as a broadcaster in the valley of Kashmir. “His dramas were always acclaimed and he had created a novel style of fiction writing,” Azad said.

He has added that after quitting his job from Radio, he was associated with a daily newspaper Quomi-Aawaz for a brief time and finally he had settled in Noida.

“Bharti will always be remembered as one of the best broadcasters, playwright and story writer,” he has added.

Azad has prayed for eternal peace to departed soul conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
