Restriction re-imposed in Budgam for 5 days

The administration here on Tuesday ordered re-imposition of lockdown for five days starting amid rise the corona cases in the district.

District Magistrate, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza, in an order issued today, asked SSP Budgam, SDMs, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and SHOs to ensure strict implementation of the restrictions.

   

“All shops and business establishments falling within the peripheries of Charar-i- Sharief, Chadoora, Magam, BK Pora, Narbal, Beerwah, Chattergam, Nagam, Khansahib shall remain closed for the next five days,” reads the order.

It says all types of public transport, intra-district movement of private vehicles including two-wheelers would not be allowed to. But vehicles carrying goods, LPG have been exempted from the restrictions. Moreover, agriculture and horticulture construction activities would be allowed as per the SOPs, says the order.

Meanwhile, the administration has urged people not to violate the SOP and follow social distancing.
