The authorities have ordered restrictions on traffic movement on the Srinagar-Leh highway in view of the blasting and maintenance work to be carried out by the border roads organisation (BRO).
“It is for the information of general public thatZojila Road will be closed for all types of vehicles (including LMV /tourists from 1000 Hrs to 1300 Hrs astomorrow (Tuesday) Beacon is planning blasting in certain areas,” a policeofficial said.
Captain Shubham Sood of BRO told Greater Kashmir that theyhave started some repairing work on the highway including widening of theZojila pass road.
He said that the work will be carried for next few days,adding that they may have to stop the traffic from 10 am to 1 pm in day time.
