Restrictions to continue in Kupwara for 3 more days

The administration here on Tuesday extended the restrictions imposed across the district for three more days.

The decision has been taken in view of the spike in COVID19 cases across the district.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Anshul Garg had ordered re-imposition of the restrictions across the district for three days, with effect from July 12.

As per the order shops dealing with dairy products and vegetables were allowed to operate from 7 am to 1 pm.

The owners of these shops were directed to ensure display of COVID19 regulations like use of masks, outside their shops and adherence to social distancing norms by the customers.

The restrictions were not applicable to medical shops and private health institutions.

While the public transport is completely off the roads in the district, as per the directions, the private transport was being allowed to ply as per the detailed instructions.

However, all government offices across the district shall continue to function normally while banks have been directed to issue guidelines and formulate rosters for each branch of bank to ensure adherence to social distancing and use of masks within the bank premises.
