Chairman People’s Democratic Front (PDF), Hakeem Yaseen, Sunday said that revoking Article 35-A will have ramifications while urging the central government to clarify the deployment of additional 10,000 troops in Kashmir.
Expressing concern over the growing panic in the Valley,Yaseen said, “There are serious rumours that there is an imminent threat toArticle 35-A. The central government should come clear on the issue which hasplunged Kashmir into panic.”
“Article 370 and 35-A have constitutional and emotionalramifications attached to them. These need to be kept in view while commentingon its validity. Article 35-A is irrevocable and only an elected government candeliberate on it,” he said.
