A 55-year-old rice mill owner was crushed to death after he slipped into the conveyor belt attached to the machine in Shahgund village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday.

The officials identified the man as Abdul Majeed Dar from Shagund village where he operated a rice mill owned by him.

The officials said after pulling him out, Dar was shifted to the Community Health Centre (CHC) Hajin where doctors declared him “dead on arrival”.
