Asserting that Congress Party would do everything to bring the people of J&K “out of morass created due to the failure” of PDP-BJP coalition on all fronts, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president and party candidate from Anantnag Lok Sabha Parliamentary constituency G A Mir on Sunday urged people to rise to the occasion and defeat opportunistic parties.
Mir while addressing public meetings at Halsidar, Halan,Dooru Ziyarat and at historic Lal Chowk in south Kashmir appealed peoplenot to miss the opportunity of the present elections to “defeat BJP and RSS,who are dreaming to abrogate Article 370 once they get the clear majority.”
He sought the supportof people to defend the special status of the state from being eroded.
“It is our ultimate goal to serve people and ensure theirsafety and development, we (Congress Party) will not be cowed down by thefalsehood of PDP-BJP and other opportunist parties and will continue to serve people to the best of our ability,besides safeguarding the special status of the state. Congress party hasreiterated its commitment in the poll manifesto to safeguard Artilces 35A and370,” he added.
