Sahai appointed Joint Secretary NSCS

Local news agency KNS quoted sources as saying that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the appointment of Sahai as joint secretary in the NSCS for five years from the date of assumption of the charge. Sahai is the first IPS officer of J&K cadre to occupy a key position at the NSCS.

S M Sahai, IPS officer of 1987 batch of J&K cadre, who was recently sent on central deputation by the Jammu and Kashmir government has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the National Security Council Secretariat. With this move, Sahai would be working on a coveted position at the NSCS which is directly commanded and controlled by the Prime Minister.
