The international community seems to be insensitive to the Kashmir dispute and human rights violations being perpetrated by the armed forces in the territory.
Condemning the killing of Farooq Ahmad Bhat in the firing at Palhalan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, United Jihad Council (UJC) chairman Syed Salah-ud-Din today said the killing of innocent civilians ‘will cost dearly to India and its agents in Jammu Kashmir.’
He termed as unfortunate the silence maintained by the international community towards Kashmir issue and plight of Kashmiris.
“The international community seems to be insensitive to the Kashmir dispute and human rights violations being perpetrated by the armed forces in the territory. How long will the world community act as mute spectators to the incidents of bloodshed being carried out by the forces in Kashmir,” Salah-ud-Din said while addressing a meeting of Hizbul Mujahideen command council here.
“People of Palhalan have always been supporting the resistance movement with a vengeance. They have been enduring martyrdoms and detentions of dear ones besides other atrocities from the very beginning and have never shown any weakness or tiredness while pursuing the cause the freedom,” he added.
