While appreciating Kashmiri people for observing complete strike on the martyrdom anniversary of Muhammad Afzal Guru the chairman of United Jihad Council Syed Sallahudin on Tuesday said that Kashmiris have reaffirmed their resolve towards taking the mission of martyrs’ to its logical end.
In statement here the UJC chief said that late Maqbool Bhat and Afzal Guru had rendered supreme sacrifices for Kashmir cause for which they would be remembered in the annals of Kashmir history. Terming them as proud sons of the soil he said, “Following the footsteps of these proud Kashmiris people of the state we will achieve their cherished goal of freedom”.
Lauding the sacrifices of Kashmiris the UJC chief said that no one whosoever would be allowed to betray their supreme sacrifices.
Syed Sallahudin yet again suggested that separatist leadership should forge unity among its ranks in order to safeguard the interests of Kashmiri people.
“At a time when conspiracies are being hatched at the highest level to alter the demographic character as well as the Muslim identity of the state it is incumbent upon the pro-movement political leadership to ensure complete unity within their rank and file,” the UJC chief said.
