Another Sarpanch, Abdul Raheem from Dawar Gurez leading the group said that we apprised SDM of our difficulties due to the closure of the road from December last year. Though the administration had stocked up the essentials they have started to dry out, they claimed.

The Bandipora-Gurez road which is maintained by BRO was closed due to snowfall from December last year. The road according to officials was expected to open in the March beginning, however, the snow-clearance operations which are on have been prolonged due to inclement weather as the Razdan-Top and other areas received more snow recently.
