SCERT holds webinar on implementation of NEP-2020

The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), on Saturday conducted the first webinar started on the theme

“Early Childhood Care & Education: The Foundation of Learning.”  The webinar was conducted with regard to the implementation of the newly framed education policy by Government of India.

   

Advisor to J&K LG, K. K Sharma, inaugurated the Webinar. The logo of newly established SCERT was also unveiled depicting three keywords viz Explore, Excel & Enlighten [3Es] which envisages the aims & objectives of SCERT, J & K. The other diginitaries present in the webinar were Asgar Hassan Samoon, Principal Secretary, School Education Department, Prof. Hrushikesh Senapatey, Director NCERT, New Delhi, Prof. Renu  Nanda, Dean Faculty of Education, University of Jammu, Experts from Central Universities of Jammu and Kashmir. More than 200 participants including Director Academics, Joint Secretaries, Assistant Directors, Academic Officers from JKBOSE, SCERT faculty, DIET Principals alongwith their faculties attended the webinar.

K K Sharma in his keynote address highlighted the need and importance of NEP with respect to J&K. He impressed upon the participants that the purpose of NEP is to develop good human beings of rationale.
