An Scooty rider died after he was knocked down by a tanker at a village in south Kashmir’s Shopian on Saturday evening.
A police official said the deceased was hit by a tankerbearing number TN 88Y- 8732 at Sindoo Shirmal village of the district at around7: 30 pm.
He was immediately shifted to district hospital Shopianwhere doctors declared him dead on arrival, the official said.
He was identified as Moonis Shabir, 18, son of Shabir Ahmadof Gaberpora, Pulwama.
