SDBCT distributes 1,500 food kits to needy families

Sarbat Da Bhalla Charitable Trust (SDBCT) has distributed food kits to 1,500 needy families of J&K amid the ongoing COVID19 lockdown.

A statement said the Trust under the guidance of its President, Baldev Singh Raina (Chairman & CEO Peaks Group and Chairman PHD Chamber of Commerce) distributed the kits comprising of rice, aata, Dal, sugar and rea packs,

   

“The supplies were distributed in a phased manner (750 families of Jammu and 750 of Kashmir) in different districts of J&K,” said the statement.

It said the first lot of kits was distributed to 400 families in twins districts of Rajori and Poonch followed by 350 in Jammu through the Trust team, which is monitored by State President of the Trust, Baldev Singh and his team including DR Amarjeet Singh, Manjeet Singh, Maninder Pal Singh, Satpal Singh, DrBhupinder Singh, Mukesh Sharma and Inderjeet Singh,

Sharing the information Raina said the Trust was working under the leadership of Managing Trustee Dr SP Singh Oberoi who has already been distributing essential supplies in Punjab and different parts of the country, having distributed ration to 30,000 needy families.

“Further, the Trust is contemplating to provide free ration to 1,500 needy families of Jammu and Kashmir,” said the statement.

The trust earlier donated 10,000 triple layer masks, 600 PPE kits and 400 N-95 masks to government and private hospitals, police headquarter, Red Cross Society and several government offices, said the statement.
