Security forces on Saturday launched a cordon and search operation in Hugam Srigufwara village in Bijbehara area of southern Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
The search operation, an official said, was launchedfollowing specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
“A joint team of army’s 55 RR, CRPF and SOG cordonedoff Lone Pora, Hugam village, early morning and conducted searches,” anofficial said.
However, the search operation was called off after nothingwas found.
