Government forces on Sunday launched a cordon and search operation in Tarzoo area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. This is the third search operation in the area in the past four days.
An official said, a joint team of the Army’s 52 RR unit, the SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police and the CRPF launched the operation.
He said the operation was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area. The operation was later called off.
Earlier, forces had launched a search operation in the village on Thursday. Another CASO was launched yesterday evening.
