Awami National Conference (ANC) senior vice-president, Muzzafar Shah, Wednesday claimed that the country’s secular fabric was under threat, saying that an all party meeting will be called in Delhi regarding the chaos in Jammu and Kashmir over Article 35-A and 370.
“The government’s order regarding additional deployment offorces in Kashmir, which was leaked on social media, has created an atmosphereof chaos and anxiety. The dates of the all party meeting to be held at NewDelhi will be announced immediately after the proposed all party meeting inSrinagar,” Shah said in a statement.He further said, “ANC and JKCSCC members, alongwith Kashmir High Court Bar Association, NC, CPI (M), PDP and former MP TariqKarra as interventionists, are seeking dismissal of the petitions before theSupreme Court against Article 35-A and 370. We are eagerly awaiting the outcomeof the petitions.”
