Secy school education reviews progress of education sector

Secretary school education department, Rigzian Sampheal on Thursday convened a meeting of top official of school education department to review the progress of the education sector in the Kupwara and Baramulla districts. 

Pertinently, Kupwara and Baramulla district in north Kashmir have been selected for the aspirational districts programme of NITI Aayog launched by Prime Minister of India in January 2018.

   

Meanwhile, the secretary impressed upon all the officers to take necessary steps for improving the ranking of these two districts. “We need to work hard for the overall development of education sector in these two districts and take this opportunity to improve the education sector in these districts,” Sampheal told officers in the meeting.

During the meeting, secretary sought details from Director School Education Kashmir (DEK) G N Itoo regarding the education scenario in these districts and said the department should identify all the shortcomings in the schools and make every possible effort to rectify them as well.

The secretary was also briefed about the implementation of various schemes in these districts on which he directed concerned officers to make the effective implementation of all schemes in the two aspirational districts.
