A delegation of School Education Employees’ Coordination Committee (SEECC) met Governor’s Advisor, Khursheed Ahmad Ganai here on Friday.
A spokesman of the SEECC in a statement said that the delegation was led by the SEECC president Manzoor Ahmad. “The employees apprised the Advisor about the issues confronting them,” he added.
The state president of J&K Teachers’ Forum (JKTF) Muhammad Akbar Khan, according to the spokesman, raised all the issues concerning the teaching fraternity of the state. Manzoor Ahmad, who is also president of lecturer’s forum, highlighted the problems faced by the lecturers.
Gazi Abdul Aziz urged the Advisor to frame a comprehensive transfer policy for RRT’s and Grade II teachers. Shah Fayaz pleaded for the speedy conversion of RRT’s who have improved their qualifications to teacher grade II.
The clerical fraternity was represented by Parvaiz Ahmad.
The delegation presented a memorandum to the Advisor wherein they highlighted the issue of disproportionate pupil-teacher ratio in government schools.
