Sehrai concerned over deteriorating health of Nasir Abdullah in Kot Balwal Jail

Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) chairman Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai today expressed serious concern over the plight of incarcerated Nasir Abdullah of TeH languishing in Kote Balwal Jail, Jammu, for the past eight years.

“The continuous incarceration has taken a serious toll on the health of Nasir Abdullah. The jail authorities are depriving the incarcerated Hurriyat leaders of medical aid. They are deliberately denying basic facilities to Kashmiri prisoners to make them suffer. It reflects the hatred and oppressive mind-set of the jail authorities and administration towards the Kashmiri prisoners,” Sehrai said in a statement.

” Kashmiri detainees are being ill-treated and subjected to mental and physical torture,” he alleged, demanding immediate and unconditional release of all Kashmiri prisoners.

Meanwhile, Sehrai said, “Forces have unleashed fear in every nook and corner of Kashmir. They have created havoc in every district. People are being threatened and their properties  are being ransacked during raids”.
