Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) chairman Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai has strongly condemned the slapping of PSA on Syed Imtiyaz Haider, Tashooq Ahmed Banday, Manzoor Ahmed Bhat of Budgam and Farooq Ahmed Shah of Kulgam and shifting them to Jammu Jail.
In a statement he said, “it is a sheer injustice that theyhave been shifted to far-flung areas. The jails and interrogation centres havebeen filled with innocents and many have been shifted to jails outside theValley. These measures are being used as tools to punish the people for theirpolitical dissent and belief.”
Sehrai said, “Shifting of political prisoners outside thestate is political vendetta and putting hundreds into prison is no democracy.We live in an arbitrary environment the voices of peaceful dissent are alwaysput under strong curbs.”
