A seminar on drug de-addiction was held at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Shalimar, on Friday.
The seminar, which was organised by Jammu and Kashmir State Human Rights Commission in collaboration with Directorate of School Education Kashmir, was presided over by Nazir Ahmad Thakur, Secretary SHRC.
Speaking on the occasion, Thakur highlighted the alarming situation of drug addiction which has engulfed the entire world and particularly the J&K state. He emphasized on stakeholders to address the issue at their level so that the menace is eradicated.
Speakers and psychiatrists from drug de-addiction rehabilitation centre, Government Medical College, Srinagar and Police Control Room, Srinagar, also participated in the seminar.
