A seminar on drug de-addiction was held at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Shalimar, on Friday.
The seminar, which was organised by Jammu and Kashmir StateHuman Rights Commission in collaboration with Directorate of School EducationKashmir, was presided over by Nazir Ahmad Thakur, Secretary SHRC.
Speaking on the occasion, Thakur highlighted the alarmingsituation of drug addiction which has engulfed the entire world andparticularly the J&K state. He emphasized on stakeholders to address theissue at their level so that the menace is eradicated.
Speakers and psychiatrists from drug de-addictionrehabilitation centre, Government Medical College, Srinagar and Police ControlRoom, Srinagar, also participated in the seminar.
