A one-day seminar was organised in connection with celebrations of the ongoing Urs Mubarak of Sakhi Zain Ud Din Wali Reshi (RA) here on Sunday.
The seminar titled “Contribution of Sufis and Reshis to Kashmir Society” was organised by Al’Sarwat Educational Foundation at Al’Ahad B. Ed College Anantnag.
Chairman of the College Dr Zulfikar Siddqui highlighted the contribution of the Sufis and Reshis and stressed the need of following the footprints of these Reshis in the present scenario of class and confusion.
Prof Bashar Bashir, Prof Shad Ramzan, Dr Sameer Shafi Siddqui, Dr Marius Shah, Dr Fayaz, Dr Masood Masudi and Ghulam Nano Aatesh presented their papers. Noted scholar Ghulam Nano Aatesh was felicitated for his contributions to Kashmiri language and literature. Prof Shad Ramzan presided over the function while Dr Tanveer Hayat conducted the proceedings.
