A separate COVID care centre for bank employees and their families shall be established in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district, said the district administration on Tuesday.
A meeting in this regard was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone, where things related to establishment of the centre were discussed threadbare.
During the meeting it was decided that all the banks operating in district Kupwara shall contribute for the establishment of the COVID Care centre which shall be an exclusive facility for the bank employees and their families.
It was decided that the district Administration shall provide suitable space for establishment of the centre which shall be run by the representatives of the banks themselves including the placement of infrastructure at the identified space.
Moreover, the day to day expenses for running the facility shall be borne by the banks themselves and the district administration shall facilitate the medical checkups of the inmates through the health department.
On the occasion, all the representatives of the banks agreed to take necessary steps for establishment of the centre at an earliest.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue, ADMO Kupwara, Lead District Manager, Cluster Head J&K Bank and other officers of the banks attended the meeting.
