Separatists visit Mufti Azam's residence, SMHS hospital

Later on, the leaders visited the SMHS hospital here where they enquired about health of students, who were injured in a mysterious blast in the Pulwama school. They expressed solidarity with the injured students and their parents and prayed for their (students’) speedy recovery

A delegation of separatist leaders, comprising Shabir Ahmad Dar, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi and Ghulam Nabi Waseem, Sajad Ahmad and Tahoor Sidiqi, today visited the residence of Mufti Azam Nasir-ul-Islam to express their deep sympathy with him and his family on the death of his father Bashir Ahmed Farooqi.

“Late Mufti Azam Bashir Ahmad Farooqui was a man of immense qualities who served the people with commitment and conviction. He was not only a religious scholar but a social reformer and a great humanist. Late Mufti Azam led the religious institution efficiently. His contribution to the society will always be remembered with respect,” Muslims Conference chairman Shabir Ahmad Dar said.
