Separatists visit Mufti Azam’s residence, SMHS hospital

A delegation of separatist leaders, comprising Shabir Ahmad Dar, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi and Ghulam Nabi Waseem, Sajad Ahmad and Tahoor Sidiqi, today visited the residence of Mufti Azam Nasir-ul-Islam to express their deep sympathy with him and his family on the death of his father Bashir Ahmed Farooqi.

“Late Mufti Azam Bashir Ahmad Farooqui was a man of immense qualities who served the people with commitment and conviction. He was not only a religious scholar but a social reformer and a great humanist. Late Mufti Azam led the religious institution efficiently. His contribution to the society will always be remembered with respect,” Muslims Conference chairman Shabir Ahmad Dar said.

“Later on, the leaders visited the SMHS hospital here where they enquired about health of students, who were injured in a mysterious blast in the Pulwama school. They expressed solidarity with the injured students and their parents and prayed for their (students’) speedy recovery,” the spokesman said.
