Chairman Peoples Democratic Front, Hakeem Yaseen on Saturday welcomed the army’s probe findings in Shopian fake encounter.
In a statement, Yaseen urged for time-bound completion of trial to book the culprits. He said delivery of justice to the victim families will help to reduce the trust deficit and alienation among people in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said the fair and transparent probe in the incident was a welcome step towards a good beginning to “reduce the alienation and trust deficit among people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
He also called for time-bound completion of magisterial probe ordered in Sopore youth’s killing to deliver justice.
Meanwhile, Yaseen hailed the economic revival package for J&K announced by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today.
He said the Rs 1400 crore economic package would go a long way to reduce mounting stress on business community.
“But it was quite meagre as compared to the huge quantum of estimated losses to the trade and industry in J&K,” Yaseen said.
