The state human rights commission (SHRC) on Monday ordered the deputy commissioner (DC) and the senior superintendent of police (SSP) Kulgam to file compliance report into the killing of a class 10 student in firing last month.
A bullet had hit the head of Muskan Jan (14) at her home at Wangud-Qaimoh in Kulgam district, during a gunfight in the area on November 25. A day after the incident, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
The commission issued notices on a joint complaint filed by rights activists Ahsan Untoo and Zeenat Mushtaq.
