Shutdown in Shopian, Pulwama in south Kashmir to mourn militant killings

A complete shutdown is being observed in Pulwama and Shopian districts of south Kashmir to mourn the killings of six militants in separate encounters in last two days.

According to reports all the shops and business establishments remained shut in the districts with almost no traffic plying on the roads.

   

On Tuesday, three militants were killed during an encounter with government forces in Shirmal village of Shopian district.

The slain were identified as Shamsul-Haq, a resident Draggad, Amir Suhail Bhat, a resident of Shopian, Shoaib, a resident of Shirmal Shopian.

Also, on Monday three militants were killed in an encounter with forces in Hapatnar area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district. All the three slain militants belonged to south Kashmir areas.
