The National Science Day is celebrated since 1987 to markthe anniversary of the ‘Raman Effect’ by the physicist SirChandrashekharaVenkata Raman, popularly known as CV Raman. Theme for thisyear’s National Science Day was ‘Science for the People and People for thescience.’
