Singing, cultural programme held under CAP

IRP-8th battalion organised a cultural programme-cum-singing competition for the students of various educational institutions from Ganderbal and Bandipora districts, at Sainik School Manasbal today.

Maqsood Zaman SSP, commandant IRP-8th battalion was thechief guest and Nazir Ahmad, Principal Sainik School Manasbal guest of honouron at the programme, which was held under the banner “Nuw Bahar”.

   

Maqsood-ul-Zaman gave a brief introduction about the eventorganized under the Civic Action Programme of J&K Police, a statement heresaid.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that police has takenadvances in Civic Action Programmes which are regularly being organized by itin order to have greater interaction with people from different walks of life.

The chief guest distributed prizes among the winners whosecontribution was outstanding. The first, second and third position holders werereceived cash prize of Rs 10,000, Rs 7000 and Rs 5000 respectively, besides trophiesand certificates.

Muneer Ahmad Bhat S/O: Noor Mohammad Bhat of Govt. DegreeCollege Sumbal stood first, Idrees Hamid S/O Ab. Hamid of Govt. SecondarySchool Safapora stood second and Mohammad Mudasir, S/O:  Ghulam Mohammad of Govt. Degree College Sumbalsecured 3rd position in the singing competition.

Consolation prizes in the form of trophies were given to allthe participants.
