The police on Wednesday constituted a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the alleged murder of a woman here.
Few days back, Rehana Gulzar (31) had received burn injuries at her in-laws home at Ahamsharief village. Subsequently, she was shifted to Srinagar hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Confirming the development, senior superintendent of police Zulfikar Azad said: “the team will be headed by DySP rank officer and two other police officials. Further details of the case would be shared after the investigation”.
Gulzar, mother of three kids was working in the health department.
Her family members and colleagues had alleged her in-laws of setting her ablaze, while they had termed it as suicide.
