State Joint Action Committee (SJAC), an amalgam of all graduate engineering associations Friday organised a one day convention of all engineers of civil , mechanical and electrical in Anantnag to discuss and deliberate upon the “step motherly treatment given to engineers”.
“In this context all the graduate engineers of south Kashmir participated & unanimouslydecided that the non seriousness of Government towards engineers in resolution of all long pending issues confronting thefraternity, especially regularisation ofad hoc promotions, SRO for cabinet approved ACP, correction in GP OF JES andenhancement of FTA, etc,” read a statement issued by the SJAC.
During the meeting it was decided that all engineers will goon mass protest leave on July 16 across J&K and a sit in protests will beheld at Srinagar.
