Additional Director General of Police, SJM Gillani, on Saturday visited Armed Police Complex Zewan, here and held of Durbar of officers and officials of JKAP-9th, JKAP-12th battalion and ladies contingents of J&K Armed Police jointly, a police spokesman said in a statement.
He said the Durbar was conducted to ascertain thefunctioning affairs of the units and welfare of policemen including theirliving condition besides hearing their individual as well as collectivegrievances.
While addressing the joint Darbar, the ADGP complimented theofficers and jawans for performing the Parliamentary election dutiessatisfactorily. He advised them to perform their duties in future with the samespirit and maintain discipline of the force by all means.
The ADGP stressed upon them to always come up to theexpectations of the people sincerely and honestly as we are meant for publicservice. He also advised the officers and jawans to maintain physical fitness.
The ADGP Armed also interacted with the officers/ officialsof the units as well as ladies contingent during Darbar. The ADGP disclosed onthe occasion that the welfare of the officers and jawans particularly theirpromotion issues will be given top priority at APHQ level.
He also conducted the inspection of entire Armed PoliceComplex Zewan and directed Commandant JKAP-9th battalion to prepare a blueprint of APC Zewan Complex, so that extension of the Complex is not made inhaphazard manner and there is judicious use of land.
