The heavy snow caused damage to the roofs of two government buildings housing tehsil office Gund in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday.
Officials said the overnight snowfall in Gund area further added to the accumulated snow on the roofs of these buildings.
“The roof of one single storey building collapsed while the damage was caused to the roof of another single storey building.”
They said both the buildings are owned by power development corporation (PDC) and presently used for tehsil office Gund .
They said no one was injured or harmed in the incident.
Abdul Ahad Raina, Tehsildar Gund said, “We have informed the PDC authorities about the incident and it does not affect our office work.”
