He said the militants opened fire on the forces during searches. "The forces immediately returned the fire, triggering a gunfight,” he said.

The official an army man suffered injuries during the initial round of fire. He was shifted to a hospital for treatment, said the official.

The gunfight was underway when this report was being filed.
