The health resort Sonamarg is without water supply for the past several days, many hoteliers said.
Nazir Ahmed War, a hotelier said owing to water shortagethey were facing hardships.

“In the prevailing situation only a handful of touristsvisit Sonamarg. The authorities should ensure all basic facilities here so thatthe visitors don’t face any inconvenience” said another hotelier.
Executive Engineer, PHE department Ganderbal, Muhammed Aslamsaid owing to avalanches near Thajiwas, the main source of water to Sonamarg,the department could not undertake work to rstore the water suppoly.
“We are supplying water to hotels through a tanker on dailybasis till restoration work is completed in the next few days,” he said.
