Fruit traders at apple town Sopore on Friday held a protest demonstration demanding immediate revocation of restrictions on Kashmir highway till the completion of Amarnath Yatra.
Scores of members of Fruit Growers And Dealers Associationand members of Buyers Union led by Fayaz Ahmad Malik and Mudasir Ahmadassembled at fruit mandi, Sopore while shouting slogans and holding placardsand banners which read “revoke highway ban”, “We love Yatris”.
President Fayaz Ahmad Malik said that due to therestrictions on public transport, the supplies of early variety of apples andother fruits will get badly affected. He said while the public in general, andstudents and business community in particular has got severly affected.
