Amid a shutdown in this north Kashmir town, hundreds of people Friday evening attended the last rites of slain militant Ishfaq Ahmad Sofi of Model Town area here.
An eyewitness said that as soon as the body of the militant,who used the alias Abdullah Bhai, reached here people from the Sopore town andits outskirts assembled in his native village to offer the funeral prayers.Ishfaq was killed in a gunfight with security forces in south Kashmir’s Shopiandistrict early Friday morning.
